Gossip and Slander

Slander refers to abusive language against a   person's reputation. When used against God, it is blasphemy. When used against another person,It is an insult. Some passages of the Bible use the word "gossip " instead of "Slander". Often, gossip and Slander spread partial truth mixed with falsehood to make the other person look bad. Sometimes, they may be accurate, but the one you are telling has no need for the information. Sometimes, it is done under the cover, "I wanted you to know so you can pray" . The one spreading the gossip often feeds his/her pride by being in the know. Gossip and Slander are signs of absence of the absence of love. They both reflect the devil's work and stem from a bitter heart; bitterness in the heart grows into a poisonous volcano that spews its toxic venom on all passer-by. Children of God must put away all bitterness and replace it with kindness, compassion, forgiveness, and control of our tongue as Ephesians 4:29 points 👉 out.
